Truma combi Remote Control

Hello everyone,

I'm a Italian motorhome's owner who made a device to remotely control the Truma combi.

Unfortunately, the blog and the manual is not is in Dutch but in English and Italian.

if anyone is interested in testing the device and collabarate with me in translate the manual and texts of android application, I could provide him with a device to test it.

In simple terms the device can be used for control completely the Truma combi by a IR remote control, By SMS and Bluetooth.

I also made ​​a Android application which allows better control of the boiler and also a better user experience.

Let me know what you think about the project.

It took me 4-5 years to develop and I would like to receive some comments (both positive or negative)

Hi Mirko,

Let me be the first to give you some (not negative, let's call it "sceptical") comment:
- I like the concept of using an Arduino for motorhome functions. On this forum at least two visitors (Winand, Arno) are active in this field.
- is "Truma Combi" enough to indicate a certain type? When I ask Google, I get different types... And if so, will your concept be extended to other motorhome-related functions?
- I'd like to look further, but unfortunately I cannot open ManualV3.0.0_EN.pdf from your website. Could it be "Windows only"?

Regarding the generic term Combi I useded in the title ....

I've included a full explanation of compatibility in the PDF document.

Were you able to download the file but does not open it?

What operating system do you use?
Mac OS?

Can I send the PDF via email?

OK, that's why I wanted to read the PDF.
When I double click the PDF it opens an empty document. I use OX 10.8.4. But a PDF should be platform-independent.
If you send the manual to me, it doesn't help the other visitors.

Als ik dubbelklik op de PDF opent er een leeg document. Ik gebruik OX 10.8.4. Maar een PDF moet platform-onafhankelijk zijn.
Als je mij de handleiding stuurt, hebben de andere bezoekers daar niets aan.

I sent the PDF to you by email in order know is the problem was the PDF or the Google drive account.

I cheked different times to donwload the pdf form the link in the Blog post and it works all the times

Tomorrow I'll cheked again from another PC

The PDF does open here, both on my Ubuntu 12.04 laptop and Windows 7 desktop. Interesting stuff, but not really something I'd like to attempt for my new van! :)
