Sorry in English, I have a problem with the hand throttle on my 1986 508d Ambulance in that occasionally maybe 1 in 20 times when I push in or turn it does not stop the engine, any ideas of the problem please someone.
When you push down the button does the gas rod retracts normally?
You can check if the rods move free otherwise put some grease on the joints, is the spring still on the rod?
Hi Yoni, many thanks for the reply I can feel a strong resistance on the spring so guess that is OK l will try the grease is there a point behind the dash panel that will need grease?
If you look under the hood there is on the right side of the engine a lever that is moved by de hand throttle button mayb that lever is the problem. (stuck)
you can always stop the engine lifting your gas pedal upwards with your foot ;)
